Choose a cozy area rug. Don’t underestimate the power of a comfy area rug. Sometimes a little fluff underfoot is the difference between a brilliant design that’s welcoming and lived-in and an almost-brilliant design that’s cold and lifeless. Rugs in soft, neutral tones, like cream and white, work well with gray sectionals.
I think the round shape makes it feel like there’s much more floor space and feels balanced no matter how far it is from the corner of the sectional… And mom doesn’t have to go batty when it gets pushed askew by the littles. Suffice it to say, I love how our family room turned out. And I’m excited to share with you more details about the space…
Designer Alicia Murphy used a sectional in the living room of a teensy trailer she converted into a plush family getaway in Montauk, New York, for this very reason: "If you were to use a sofa and a chair, you would have about 36” of dead space in the corner—but by using a sectional you give that corner life. You most likely will add seating for two or three more people if you use a corner sectional rather than a sofa and chair."
Do you have a sofa in your living room? For sure and the answer is yes. A living room won't be complete without a sofa also the rest of the living room furniture. It is important to have one since it is where we amuse guests. Aside from that and it is also the area where we relax with the family.
