Despite its large size, its low profile made it perfect for our walls of windows. The previous couch (which was not particularly high-backed) kept bumping into the plantation shutters and forcing them closed. The view is straight out to our backyard, and it is one of the best parts of this room – and you know how I feel about all the natural light – so the height of the Cube is absolutely perfect. The low profile also helps accentuate the room’s high ceilings and makes it feel so much larger even though much more floor space is actually covered by the sectional.
Buy a houseplant. Nothing will bring your gray sectional to life quite like a leafy houseplant. A potted tree — like the ever-popular fiddle-leaf fig — is a great way to bring height and texture to an empty corner.
Designer Alicia Murphy used a sectional in the living room of a teensy trailer she converted into a plush family getaway in Montauk, New York, for this very reason: "If you were to use a sofa and a chair, you would have about 36” of dead space in the corner—but by using a sectional you give that corner life. You most likely will add seating for two or three more people if you use a corner sectional rather than a sofa and chair."
For the cushion; pick one with small scale stripes checks or hand blocked floral. For more soft look; have two tones natural linen for the curtains. Combined it with trio roller blinds to lower or raise the sunshine during summer. As for the fun side; you can have a couple of starfish; or bat picture as well.
