When it comes to accent chairs, the idea is that they’re singular and stand out from other chairs in the house through their design which seamlessly combines looks with comfort. One such example is the Ficus chair. It has a clean and sleek design with a thin metal base and an undulating seat moulded after the human body. It’s like sitting in a blossoming flower.
You can always position a curved sofa or sectional in a corner in which case you’ll be left with an empty little space behind it. You can fill that with a floor lamp, a tall plant or some other suitable accent piece or decoration. Another option is to include the sofa or sectional in a circular grouping. Maybe you could pair it with a couple of armchairs or poufs to complete the circle or you could have it face a fireplace. Also, if possible, it would be nice to have the sofa or sectional placed across from a focal point or a window with a nice view.
In 2017, Hefer mounted a show entitled, “Heart of Lightness” which debuted seven creations, all of which are designs that feature traditional South African materials and techniques. He calls the collection a response to author Joseph Conrad’s perception of Africa in his novel “Heart of Darkness”.
At the same time; the curved sofa is also useful for getting the formal look which is softened. You can try to incorporate the vintage look into the space. However; it can be softened by the lines which are curvaceous and the tufted back. It is always a great idea for placing the sofa in the corner because it will work for softening the angular space.
