So why does it feel like a risky move? "I think it's the same reason we often paint small spaces dark—which can feel counterintuitive but actually works so, so well in small rooms (den, powder room, etc.)," says designer Caroline Burke of Anna Burke Interiors. "A sectional can give you that maxed-out seating and help the room feel like a cozy nook, not a cramped back office."
Along the way, I’ve spent countless hours searching for living room inspiration. In hopes of sparing my fellow silver fox owners (or aspiring owners!) a few hours of searching, I’m sharing some of my favorite living room design ideas.
If you’re a fan of pattern play, go for it! Gray is a super-friendly neutral, after all. High-contrast patterns, like the black-and-white wallpaper pictured here, will help to bring out the dark and light tones in your sofa’s shade of gray. Just be sure to stick to a general color palette when mixing patterns so your look doesn’t feel too chaotic.
Leather sofas: Many would want their sofas to be sofa cum beds (convertible sofas) also in such cases leather sofas are a good choice. The leather sofas could be enormous also they occupy good space as well as are stain free. The leather sofas bring warmth to the house plus are best for winters.
Wooden Sofas: Old or new and antique also conventional or modern with wood rocks. Wooden furniture are hard and long living also non toxic with suit any decor. Nowadays Malaysian rubber wood are in considerable trends as they are light weight together with stylish. Teak in-conjunction with rose wood are and even to this day also the hot or happening sofa set types. Wooden sofas could be changed into divans (Indian style) or could be sofa cum drawers etc.
