I still remember hunter green patterned velour, puffy back, reclining sectionals that completely dwarfed even the largest of rooms… and I shudder. But sectionals have come so far since I was a girl in the early 90’s. And I am thrilled to show you how a HUGE sectional was actually the answer to our rather-on-the-small-side family room.
So I set out with two main goals for this living room makeover: add more (and more efficient) seating AND create a light, bright feel. And the key to this space was actually not smaller furniture, but bigger furniture… Crazy, right?
Article also offers the Cube in white (which I would love, but I don’t find it practical at this stage in our family’s life) and a Thunder Gray (which was actually my original choice, but the Glacier Blue was available more quickly and I liked the idea of a lighter color). All that to say, it’s a lovely color but definitely a blue gray, not a warm gray.
Bolder floor is better: Bolder is better in any way. In this case; you can put it on the floor. It is very possible to put a rug in the living room even with bold color and big pattern. You can point the focal point on the rug. The size of the rug breaks out the size of your room. Later; the corner sofa for small living room will complete it.
Play with scale: When it comes to the size; the furniture piece's size should be considered as well. Big piece of furniture is welcome in small living room but then you should put other smaller pieces so anything is complementing each other. When it comes to the size and measurement; it is about moderation for sure. And if you think you have enough space; you can put a corner sofa for small living room.
